Hong Kong stocks opened with a small loss Thursday morning as investors took a breather following a strong three-day rally and after a disappointing earnings report from Facebook parent Meta.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.33 percent, or 57.15 points, to 17,144.12.
The Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.23 percent, or 6.89 points, to 3,037.93, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China's second exchange edged down 0.46 percent, or 7.72 points, to 1,687.10.
